Otago Spring Seed Promotion 2024 Terms and Conditions

The Promotion: Buy 25ha of Proprietary seed and go in the draw to win 1 of 3 cash prize of $5,000 each (credited on the winners Farmlands Statement), to be spent on a bull, ram or AI Genetics products.

Promotion Period: 1st July 2024 – 31st October 2024

The Prize: 3x of a Cash Prize, valued at $5,000 each (“Prize") to be fully used to purchase a (or put towards a) Beef Bull, Dairy Bull, Ram or AI genetics products. 

 

Terms and Conditions of Entry

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry.  Entry into this promotion deems acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. 

2. The Promotion is a purchase and be-in-to-win promotion titled “Otago Spring Seed Promotion 2024”

3. The Promotion begins on 1st July 2024 and ends 31st October 2024 (“Promotion Period”).

4. The Promotion is offered by Farmlands Co-operative Society Limited of 535 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand (“Promoter”).

 

METHOD OF ENTRY, ELIGIBILITY

1. For the purpose of this Promotion, “Farmlands Shareholder” means the primary account holder of a Farmlands Shareholder account. 

2. The Promotion is open to Farmlands Shareholders who:  

Purchase 25ha of the Qualifying Products in a single transaction and charge the Qualifying Products to his or her Farmlands Account during the Promotion Period (“Entry"). The Qualifying Products are listed in the Product Schedule that forms part of these Terms and Conditions .

3.  There is a cap of 1x Entry only per shareholder.

4. The shareholder must have their home branch registered as one of these Otago Farmlands stores (please contact your Technical Field Officer (TFO) if you are unaware of your home branch): 

Kurow, Ranfurly, Cromwell, Alexandra, Balclutha, Oamaru, Taieri, Waimate 

5. The seed order must be transacted through a Farmlands TFO and recorded as 25ha or over during the transaction process. Hectare coverage is determined by the Farmlands TFO as per the recommended sowing rate for each seed variety. 

6. Employees of Farmlands who are Farmlands Shareholders are not eligible to participate in this Promotion so long as all other eligibility criteria is satisfied. 

7. The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of an entrant’s eligibility if there is a doubt over his/her eligibility for the promotion and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. 


 

PRIZE AND REDEMPTION

1. The Prizes are 3x of a Cash Prize, worth $5,000 each (including GST) to be fully used to purchase a bull, ram or Artificial Insemination (AI) genetics products (“Eligible Products").

2. The Promoter will request the proof of purchase(s) of the above products to the value of at least $5000. If Farmlands is satisfied with the proof of purchase(s), the Prize will be credited to the winners’ account on their next Farmlands account statement.

3. Upon request by the prize winners and subject to availability of Farmlands TFO, the TFO can be available to attend a bull or ram sale with the Prize winner to ensure that the Prize is spent on Eligible Products.

4. 3x Prize-winners will be drawn randomly and separately by the Promoter. Each Prize draw will comprise all eligible entries received on the date corresponding to that Prize draw.  The first valid entry drawn in each Prize draw will win the Prize.

5. The Prizes cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed in any other way.

6. All Prize draws will be completed by the Promoter on 8th November 2024, or any other date decided by the Promoter (“Draw Date”).

7. Winners will be contacted by their Farmlands TFO with details on how to redeem their Prize.

8. If the Prize or any part of the Prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter in its sole discretion reserves the right to substitute the Prize or part thereof with a prize of equal value and/or specification. 

9. The Prize-winner will be contacted by the Promoter using the contact details provided by the Shareholder for his or her Farmlands account.   

10. If a Prize winner cannot be contacted within 3 days from the date of the Prize Draw Date by his or her provided contact details or other means, or alternatively the contact details provided on the Shareholder’s Farmlands account are incorrect, the Prize may, at the Promoter’s sole discretion, be forfeited and re-drawn.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

1. The Promoter’s decisions on all matters will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

2. The Promoter may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions at any time and for any reason before the end of the Promotion Period and shall not be liable to any participant or Prize winner for any loss or damage incurred as a result.

3. The Promoter takes no responsibility for omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access telecommunications network services, or any other error or malfunction in respect of the Promotion and any resulting failure to record any eligible entries.

4. Except for liability that may not by law be excluded, the Promoter shall not be liable under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions and/or this Promotion for any cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by any participant, even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable, and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

5. These Terms and Conditions are governed by New Zealand law and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

6. The Prize winners consent, and waive all rights (including copyright and moral rights), to The Promoter using the Prize winner’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film, and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion, and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

7. Participants agree not to make any commercial or business use of the Promotion to resell or commercially benefit from any part or aspect of the Promotion.

Product Schedule

All proprietary seed protected under the Plant Variety Rights Act 2022 (PVR) of Agricom Ltd, Barenbrug NZ Ltd, PGG Wrightson Seeds and RAGT NZ that Farmlands supply to shareholders.
