Duncraigen Farm:
Located 15kms from Manapouri, Duncraigen Farm is one of 27 livestock farms in Pāmu’s South Island farm network. Duncraigen is bounded on one side by the Fiordland National Park and on the other by the Waiau river, which flows from Lake Manapouri. Duncraigen’s goal is to supply all South Island Pāmu properties with top quality Angus Genetics alongside a top commercial enterprise.

Farm Manager Paul and his team are heavily involved with the South Island Genomic Calibration Flock (SIGC). Hosting a number of sire rams from throughout the country, SIGC locates and tracks the genes responsible for eating quality in lamb.

In recent years, Paul and the team have undertaken extensive river flat development to improve land from broom and gorse to approximately 80ha of productive pasture. They have also retired a number of native bush covenants along with completing extensive riparian planting.

Paul regularly hosts farm cadets from the Telford training farm through SIT, a large number of which go on to work in the rural sector. This includes recently recruited employees at Duncraigen.
