This year Farmlands has two Shareholder Director positions open for either appointment by the Board or through election. This is due to the retirement of Chris Dennison who has reached the maximum tenure of a Shareholder Director and Claire Nicholson retiring by rotation. Claire Nicholson has elected to stand for re-election this year.
This year, the Board will run a separate selection process to appoint an eligible candidate to one of the open Shareholder Director positions. More details about this process can be found in the Candidate Handbook. The remaining vacancy will be subject to election.
As a result, we are seeking nominations from eligible shareholders for ONE Shareholder Director position for our 2025 Directors Election.
It's simple to nominate someone:
• Submit your nomination in writing by noon, Monday 12 May 2025
• Send to electionz.com (our election partner)
• Nominations must be signed by two transacting shareholders
• Include written confirmation from the nominee
• Nominees must have been a transacting Farmlands shareholder for at least three years
• All candidates (including current Directors seeking election) will have an independent assessment on 13 – 16 May, with remote options available. Results will be shared with voting papers.
• We'll only hold elections if we receive more nominations than available positions.
• Voting will be online this year - make sure we have your current email address. You can update this in myFarmlands, via the Farmlands Card app, by calling 0800 200 600 or emailing ask@farmlands.co.nz.
