LATEST CO-OPERATIVE UPDATES

Tuesday 12th May, 2020

Farmlands is ready to move to Alert Level 2 which means our doors will be open from Thursday morning (14th May). We are excited to welcome you in-store once again and work more directly with you on-farm. We will be taking measures to provide continued safety for you and our staff.

Please note that:

  • Our stores will revert to normal trading hours during the week.
  • All stores will be closed on Saturday 16th May. Thereafter, we intend to open some Farmlands stores for Saturday trading. Please visit our store locator to see updated trading hours for Alert Level 2.
  • You can still use our Click and Collect service or email or call your local store to order your products.
  • We will be accepting all regular forms of payment. While Farmlands Card is our preferred payment option, we will be accepting all traditional forms of payment in-store. Please note that some of these (e.g. cash, EFTPOS) will now come with additional handling protocols for our teams.

Please follow our new store protocols – as outlined on our signs – including a registration process, physical distancing requirements and ongoing cleaning/sanitising protocols. Thank you in advance for your custom and patience while we embed these trading practices.

Farmlands is only operating a collection service at Alert Level 3.

While we would love to help the shareholders and customers that have arrived to shop in-store with us, the collection service is the best way to protect both you and our staff.

We would love to do business with you. To order your supplies:

Thanks for supporting Farmlands.

Tuesday, 31st March, 2020

Dear Farmlands shareholders and customers,

We are now entering our first full week at COVID-19 Alert Level 4 and we wanted to provide you with more updates on how we will be doing business with you over the coming weeks.

Less is more. Farmlands is just one of a number of businesses that is trying to update their customers in the wake of COVID-19. We appreciate that it is a lot of emails to get through, so we are committing to sending you less.

In the first instance, we will provide updates to our dedicated Farmlands COVID-19 webpage here. This will be updated daily to reflect changes such as:

  • Our latest co-operative COVID-19 news
  • How to order through our stores
  • Any changes to store opening hours (if applicable)

This page can be viewed at any stage by going to www.farmlands.co.nz/covid-19-updates.

Choices Rewards will not be expiring during COVID-19. Whilst redemption of Choices Rewards is currently unavailable due to our third-party provider being deemed a non-essential business, shareholders will still be able to earn Choices Rewards Points during this time.

Please be assured that any Points that expire whilst our redemption partner is closed will be credited back to you once the redemption channel is reopened. This includes any Points that expired in March.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to redeem Choices Points for Airpoints Dollars. If you have opted into Airpoints Dollars you will instead earn Choices Rewards Points. We will provide a further update once our redemption partner is back up and running.

Please work with us. Our contact and collect service is only a few days in and already we have seen a great response. Please remember these key pointers while you cannot visit us in-store:

  • Email is the preferred option for placing your order and it allows us to prioritise your order as it arrives.
  • We are adhering to strict protocols at present, meaning same day collection will not always be available. Please be patient with us while we work to service our communities.
  • A reminder that all Farmlands stores are now closed on Saturdays. It is the right thing to do for our people, during an uncertain time.
  • Non-shareholders can trade with Farmlands as well. Shareholders can use their Farmlands Card or Account for payment, however non-shareholders can use credit card. We now also have the ability to accept debit cards, as long as they are Mastercard or Visa.

Thank you for supporting us. We will be back in touch soon – otherwise, please visit our COVID-19 update page for the latest news on Farmlands in your community.

Kind regards,

Peter Reidie
